SELEUKID KINGS. Antiochos I Soter, 281-261 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 17.11 g, 4 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris. Diademed head of Antiochos I to right. Rev. ΒAΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to left, monogram of AP; to right, monogram of OXY. ESM 155ζ (this coin). SC 379.3c. Beautifully toned and struck in exceptionally high relief, and with a fine old pedigree. A few light marks, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
